NuVision has launched its U Color Service to enable consumers to match the color of their TV’s chassis to suit any décor.
NuVision’s U Color is a special-order option on the 55FX5LS that requires additional production time.
Available on the 55FX5LS for an MSRP up-charge of $1,499 (in addition to the standard purchase price of the TV), the U Color is a special-order option that requires additional production time.
NuVision also has introduced the 55FX5LSM LED/LCD that features a mirrored finish on the screen. Highlighted by an aluminum frame, the 55FX5LSM functions as a mirror with the TV switched off, and as a premium TV when activated (available in June for an MSRP of $7,499.)
The U Color Service is available on both the standard and mirrored versions of the 55-inch LED LCD from NuVision-authorized dealers throughout the U.S., including Magnolia Audio Video stores.
“Our customers have been asking for more opportunity to create their own custom-tailored screens to fit into their interior décor, which is why we’ve created these newest additions,” NuVision CEO David Hester said. “We’ve also received a very positive response from interior designers, who can now easily color coordinate a NuVision TV into their design plans.”
The 55FX5LS LED/LCD TV utilizes NuVision’s FX5 120Hz video processing, which, the company says, eliminates the need for corrective mathematical algorithms when viewing 24 frame 1080p content by displaying each film frame five times on the display, creating an effective rate of 120 frames per second.
According to the company, the 55FX5LS requires 40 percent less power to operate than comparable CCFL sets and is also Mercury free, making NuVision’s LED/LCD technology more environmentally responsible.
The new Lucidium FX5 Series comes complete with a full, two-year, in-home manufacturer’s warranty on all parts and labor. Every NuVision set also includes the company’s exclusive NuControl port, which enables an integrator to stow a client’s cable box out of sight and eliminate IR sensors. Functioning as a single IR receiver, the NuVision display connects to and controls all related components, so the end user doesn’t have to bother with switching on multiple devices.
