NuVo Technologies is now accepting orders for the first model in what it calls “a new generation” of energy-efficient digital power amplifiers.

According to the company, the D2120 operates two channels at 120 watts each, including large rooms and outdoor areas, while utilizing less power than a 60-watt light bulb. Designed to complement NuVo’s Grand Concerto, Essentia, and Simplese whole-home audio systems, the D2120 is also compatible with third-party equipment.

The D2120 Digital Power Amplifier was engineered to deliver outstanding sound clarity and amazing energy-efficiency. Offering selectable 4- or 8-ohm impedance, the D120 is housed in a lightweight, single-rack unit and uses only 0.35 watts in standby mode and 50 watts in typical use.
