Pakedge’s New Service Gives Canadians a Break

Pakedge will no longer charge brokerage and duty fees to Canadian Pakedge resellers receiving their shipped equipment from the United States.

Canadian integrators have lower costs to look forward to the next time they order from Pakedge. The company will no longer charge brokerage and duty fees to Canadian Pakedge resellers receiving their shipped equipment from the United States. The “Pakedge Easy-Delivery Service” comes a month after Pakedge launched its “Will Call” service, which allows integrators to stop by the manufacturer’s Hayward headquarters to pick up their equipment directly on the day of the order.

Victor Pak, CEO of Pakedge, believes these new services target integrators who follow a “just in time” (JIT) business model. “JIT dealers don’t stock up on networking equipment and hope it will be of use,” said Pak, “They are the ones who hold off on purchases until after the job is planned to avoid wasted inventory. As a result, JIT integrators often wait around nervously for a product to arrive in the nick of time—this is when stress runs high and even a one-day delay can make the difference between a successful install and a missed deadline.”

The Pakedge Easy-Delivery Service seeks to provide the JIT dealer with the peace of mind of knowing that product deliveries occur as seamlessly as possible.
