Petaluma, CA–Panamax has promoted Dave Keller to the new position of senior vice president of sales and marketing, replacing the departing Panamax vice president of sales, John Maloney, who leaves the company after 18 years to pursue educational interests.
In this new role, Keller will be responsible for bringing the advanced power management solutions of both Furman and Panamax to consumers for home theaters and other high-end applications. Panamax acquired Furman Sound in February 2006, forming an alliance that offers a complete line of equipment to address power management applications in the professional and consumer electronics markets.
“After 18 years with us and many invaluable contributions, John Maloney has decided it is time to pursue his writing career,” said Bill Pollock, president and CEO of Panamax and Furman. “We wish John all the best in his future endeavors, and we welcome Dave Keller as he steps in at the helm of sales and marketing for both Panamax and Furman.”
Prior to his new role of vice president of sales and marketing, Keller was executive vice president of sales and marketing at Furman, where he played a vital role in expanding its home theater line of products. Keller joined Furman in 2004 as vice president of the consumer electronics division, business development, and international sales. Keller’s 33-year industry experience has spanned CATV, professional, and consumer A/V markets. Earlier in his career, he served as president and CEO of Digital Envoy and COO of Escient.
“Dave has been instrumental in growing Furman’s home theater line of products,” said Pollock. “His experience, understanding of the market, and proven record of success will be critical in bringing the advanced technology of both Furman and Panamax to consumers.”
Keller will be based in Sonoma County, CA, and report to Bill Pollock.
