Panamax/Furman will be offering two free 90-minute training sessions at CEDIA EXPO 2011.

Providing a continuing education unit (CEU) value of 0.75, the presentations will explore the use and integration of multiple power and energy management products, including Panamax/Furman’s BlueBOLT platform.

Presented by Panamax national trainer Marshall Currier, “Home Theater Power Management Solutions: Increasing Profits While Minimizing Service Calls” will take place on Friday, September 9, at 10 a.m. “AC Power: the Foundation of Every Home Theater System,” presented by Furman senior product designer Garth Powell, will be held on Friday, September 9, at 2 p.m.

All sessions will take place at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown in Indianapolis. During the “Home Theater Power Management Solutions: Increasing Profits While Minimizing Service Calls” session, Currier will teach attendees how to use, integrate, and configure power and energy management solutions, including new BlueBOLT-enabled battery backup products, the Power Management family of components, and Panamax’s new M4315-PRO and M4320-PRO BlueBOLT solutions, as well as on-wall and in-wall products. At the end of the session, a Panamax M4300-PM power conditioner with Automatic Voltage Monitoring (AVM) and linear noise filtration (LiFT) will be given away.

By attending “AC Power: the Foundation of Every Home Theater System,” installers will learn how to protect components from a wide variety of common AC power issues and how to achieve maximum sound and video quality by eliminating AC line noise. In addition, Powell will discuss how installers can improve customer service and provide their clients with a robust energy management solution by using Panamax/Furman’s BlueBOLT platform. At the end of the session, each attendee will have the opportunity to win a Furman AC-215A compact power conditioner with auto-resetting voltage protection.

To improve customer service, BlueBOLT allows individual outlets or outlet banks to be power-cycled from any Web browser or Web-enabled mobile device, reducing service calls. Auto-reboot for networking equipment allows outlets to be designated to automatically power-cycle when an Internet connection is lost, eliminating the need to hard-reboot modems and routers. As a comprehensive energy management solution, BlueBOLT allows integrators to input energy rates specific to devices’ installation locations.

Using this information, the BlueBOLT platform calculates the energy used by connected devices and reports it, historically and in real time, in kilowatt-hours, as well as dollars. Energy usage information can be viewed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Users can also set energy budgets for their equipment and receive alerts when their usage is near or exceeding their allotted budget.
