Petaluma, CA — Panamax/Furman has been selected for Savant’s Excellence in AV Program. As part of the program, the Panamax M7500-PRO, MB1000, Furman F1000-UPS, and PFPower M1500-UPS-PFP power management systems will integrate more seamlessly with Savant’s automation solutions through an RS-232 communication port.
Savant’s Excellence in AV Program is targeted to form relationships with the best-in-breed manufacturers of audio, video, lighting control, HVAC, security, and other components, devices, and subsystems from many diverse markets. With dozens already signed up, Savant will continue to expand this program to promote interoperability throughout the industry.
A strategic relationship with Savant allows a manufacturer’s products to operate seamlessly in a Savant system’s environment. Savant at its core is an open programmable platform supporting UDP/IP, TCP/IP, RS-232/422/485, and IR serial communication, and low-voltage trigger outputs.

The Panamax M7500-PRO has been specifically engineered to improve the performance and life expectancy of home theater equipment. At the heart of the unit is an advanced power filtration system featuring a 720-VA balanced isolation transformer that provides power for digital source components and displays. In addition, any noise generated by digital source components is canceled out and prevented from reaching key audio or video equipment, resulting in a significant increase of the equipment’s signal-to-noise ratio. The M7500-PRO’s ground isolation feature mechanically interrupts ground loops, making the power management device especially useful for applications with unstable power or complicated ground issues.
The Panamax MB1000, Furman F1000-UPS, and PFPower M1500-UPS-PFP uninterruptible power supplies/power conditioners provide battery backup, power protection, voltage regulation, and line noise filtration for AV equipment. The units maintain power temporarily during short blackouts or brownouts to prevent lengthy restart sequences, and protect equipment by allowing it to safely shut down during extended blackouts. Dual IR emitter control allows ceiling projectors to cool their lamps properly to prevent damage from excessive heat before shutting down.
