Panamax/Furman Offers Power Training at EXPO

Panamax/Furman will be offering two AC training sessions at CEDIA EXPO 2012 in Indianapolis.

Marshall Currier, national trainer for Panamax, will present “Panamax Home Theater Power Management Solutions,” while Garth Powell, Furman senior product designer, will present “AC Power — The Foundation of Every Home Theater System.” 

In Currier’s presentation “Panamax Home Theater Power Management Solutions,” installers will learn how to maximize profits while minimizing recurring service calls with the next generation of power management. Subjects discussed will include proper UPS system design, low-voltage protection, and BlueBOLT IP control and integration. Currier has more than 14 years of experience working in the consumer electronics industry and has worked for Panamax for five years.

Powell has worked in the professional audio, broadcast, audiophile, and home theater industries for more than 30 years. In “AC Power — The Foundation of Every Home Theater System,” he will discuss common concerns regarding AC power quality when installing premium home theater systems. Topics explored will include AC power protection, filtration of AC line noise, ground isolation, voltage regulation, current compression, and battery backup. A Q&A session will follow the training. 

“Panamax Home Theater Power Management Solutions” (Course Code MPT667) will take place on September 7, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in room 102.

“AC Power — The Foundation of Every Home Theater System” (Course Code MPT1055) will take place on September 7 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in room 102.
