Paradise Theater Hosts Industry Outreach

San Diego, CA — Paradise Theater, a provider of high-end residential home theater design services, will participate in two industry outreach events in March. These are the latest activities for Paradise Theater in its effort to help build closer working relationships between architects, interior designers, builders, and electronic system integrators. Both events are focused on educating industry partners on available technologies for new and existing homes.

“We find ourselves in a unique situation at Paradise Theater,” said Paradise Theater president and Residential Systems magazine columnist, Sam Cavitt. “We coordinate our design work with architects, interior designers, builders, and electronic system integrators. Our goal is to provide insight to our partners in the design process so we can all understand what is possible. If our clientele is unclear on what is possible or why it is desirable we may never have the opportunity to do our best work. These workshops will help all the members of the design team understand this and how to achieve these results.”

The first event, being held March 18, 2008 in Northern California, is called “A Day of Residential Technologies” It includes four 90-minute presentations (including Q&A) in the areas of:

  • Renewable resources and increased efficiencies
  • Networking for homes
  • Home Theater Design Essentials for the Trade
  • LEED certification, Title 24, and the newest LED technologies

This event brings together four industry leaders: Sam Cavitt of Paradise Theater, Randy Stearns of Engineered Environments, Gordon Van Zuiden of Cyber Manor (both also RS columnists), and Marc Tieszen of Lutron Electronics. The event is being hosted by ANSR, a manufacturer’s rep firm which provides many value added services to its dealers.

The second event, being held March 20, 2008 in North Lake Tahoe, California, is called “Home Integration for Convenience, Comfort and Safety.” It includes four presentations including:

  • Home Theater Design Essentials for the Trade
  • Design Elements For a “Fully Integrated (Green) Home”
  • Common Misconceptions About Home Integration
  • Home Integration New Product Showcase – featuring: Kinetics Noise Control, Vantage, Lutron, Crestron, Activated Design-Lifts, Sonance, Kaleidascape, B&W, JBL, HDGiants, and more

This event is being jointly hosted by Pacific Audio & Communications and Prestige Home Automation.
