Park|Stevens, a new outdoor audio systems manufacturer, has launched with an exclusive distribution agreement with Bay Audio, Inc. The company will begin shipments in November.
Park|Stevens designs and manufactures audio systems specifically for outdoor use. Products include the 6×9-inch PS4 Satellite and 12×12-inch PS10 Subwoofer with integrated mounting tracks, accept a variety of optional mounts, caps, and shrouds for placement in a variety of outdoor environments.
Park|Stevens speaker enclosures use no plastic or degradable materials. Both the PS4 Satellite and PS10 Subwoofer use a powder-coated aluminum enclosure, and a die-cast aluminum grille and backplate. Under the grille is a unique water-resistant fabric protecting the speaker elements from moisture. The drivers are built to be environmentally resistant, with aluminum cones, butyl surrounds, and waterproof adhesives. All hardware uses stainless steel or aluminum to resist rust.
The PS4 Satellite reaches to 80Hz, and plays 85dB up to 40 feet away with a 90 degree radiation pattern. It is available in 8 ohm or 70V versions.
The PS10 Subwoofer uses a Park|Stevens-designed 10-inch subwoofer driver with 3-inch high power handling voice coil. It plays to 20Hz, and supplies sufficient bass output to accompany six PS4 Satellites.
Park|Stevens uses a 750w per channel QSC-built amplifier capable of handling a mixed 8 ohm and 70V load for tremendous flexibility in wiring and placement.
A Park|Stevens system — including six PS4 Satellites, one PS10 Subwoofer, and amplifier — ranges from $5,400 to $6,800, depending on mounting choices. All speakers, mounts, caps, and shrouds are sold separately.
