PowerHouse Alliance Holds Annual Sales & Vendor Meeting

The PowerHouse Alliance welcomed distributor members and vendors to Pittsburgh for collaborative sessions aimed at sharpening sales tactics, enhancing marketing initiatives, and networking.

The PowerHouse Alliance convened in Pittsburgh for its second annual national sales meeting, which hosted over 50 distributor members and vendor partners. In its fifth year, PowerHouse Alliance continues to grow with strength and momentum while helping to transform the way custom installers do business. With 13 distributors spanning the nation via 40 warehouse locations, PowerHouse Alliance continues to support the product, training and technical support needs of the CI channel through national distribution with a local touch.

“For PowerHouse, it’s not just important that profits are being generated and sales are met, but that the enthusiasm continues to flourish,” said Dennis Holzer, executive director for PowerHouse Alliance. “Our group has seen tremendous growth thanks to our members’ passion to improve not only their businesses but the businesses of their customers. With the addition of new premium lines and a heightened focus on unified marketing we have the ability to drive the market forward.”

The four-day summit kicked off with a keynote address from Stuart G. Hoffman, chief economist for PNC Financial Service Group. While discussing the state of the U.S. economy and the improved housing market Hoffman also touched upon opportunities that extend past traditional residential solutions. His advice to members? Look beyond residential to commercial buildings and hospitality. Hoffman’s remarks supercharged the following days’ conversations which focused on targeting further growth opportunities including vertical expansion.

“Security offers a wealth of opportunity for us,” added Robert Dean, president of MRI. “Adding key lines will help to further diversify our businesses.” With the group’s addition of 2GIG and other lines, breaking into security has become that much more of a reality for PowerHouse members. Alongside security and surveillance, members resoundingly agreed that networking, lighting and commercials lines are all hot targets to pursue. And with the introduction of new lines across varying verticals, PowerHouse members are committed to dealer education and training programs that empower their CI customers to grow alongside of them.

“We truly are a group of value-add distributors,” said Trevor Hansen, VP of Volutone. “By offering vital trainings, steadfast customer service and genuine industry knowledge, we’re making it easier for dealers to source and secure the products they need. We’re relationship-driven, building a trusted partnership is what it’s all about.”

Alongside the annual sales meeting, PowerHouse Alliance also officially announced the addition of their latest vendor partner, Yamaha.
