Premier Mounts has appointed Mark Almond as director of operations. He will oversee the company’s operational and logistical functions, focusing on several supply chain areas, such as purchasing, warehousing, logistics and quality assurance.

“With over 20 years of management experience, including five years of experience in the A/V OEM and ODM market, Mark has built an impressive portfolio of successful streamlined operations in a turbulent global economy,” Premier Mounts president Lee Dodson said. “Almond will work closely with the sales, customer support, and product development teams to increase efficiency and ensure that the company retains its ability to produce products cost effectively.
“His experience will be of great value to Premier Mounts as we set the course for our growth through the next 18 months.”
Almond’s first task will be supporting the launch of three Premier Mounts’ products leading up to InfoComm 2010 in June. The three products, the FTP (Fine-Tune Projector Mount), the UNI-ST+AUDIO (Universal Short-Throw Projector Arm with Audio), and the SpiroLock mount.
“Premier Mounts’ commitment to creating positive customer experiences is the company’s greatest asset,” Almond said. “I’m excited to take the customer experience mantel and push the organization’s operational efficiencies above and beyond our customers’ expectations — setting the bar even higher for what is expected from a mount manufacturer.”
Almond joins Premier Mounts after heading B-Tech International’s USA operations as general manager, where he was responsible for the entire business management of the organization. Other experiences include Lift Mates, where he was co-founder and general manager; StellarNet Inc.; Zambeel Inc.; and Kensington Technologies.
