ProSource and Power Audio Video Group Form a Strategic Alliance

Dave Workman, CEO and President of ProSource based in Ft. Worth, Texas, and James Murphy, President and CEO of the Power Audio Video Group based in Ontario, Canada have signed a strategic alliance agreement intended to provide both immediate and long-term benefits to independent retailers and suppliers associated with the two organizations.

Dave Workman commented, “Both ProSource and the Power Group bring unique and distinct assets to this relationship that over the long term will allow both organizations to develop and provide business tools for independent retailers that are not currently available from any other organization or business.” 

“The signing of this strategic alliance agreement is only the beginning of what will become a benchmark for buying group business operations and practices,” said James Murphy. “There is a tremendous amount of human capital resource and industry experience that will be aligned to produce entirely new resources, business practices and ideas.” 

“The continuing changes in the economics of our industry are demanding new standards of operations, new methods of creating and sustaining business growth, and the development of new opportunities for the entire industry,” said Workman. “The independent dealer channel is a prominent distribution channel for new technologies and a North American alliance will hopefully result in a stronger voice at the table with suppliers on behalf of our respective members.” 

“This strategic alliance agreement is a long term commitment between ProSource and the Power Group that will leave behind outdated business practices and foster new standards of communication and interaction between suppliers, retailers, and the groups that represent the retailers,” said Murphy.
