ProSource to Open Lighting Technology and Learning Center at Dallas Market Center

The space will feature multiple residential rooms showcasing smart home systems and devices for the benefit of ProSource members.

ProSource has announced the January 2021 launch of the Lighting Technology and Learning Center at the Dallas Market Center. The space was initially conceived as the hands-on live Level 2 curriculum to the ProSource Lighting Technology Certification program launched earlier this year through ProSource University. The space will also provide an opportunity for Dallas Market Center retail and design-build customers to learn about lighting applications and advancements in an immersive setting. The Dallas Market Center is also home to trade shows such as Lightovation, which welcomes customers from around the world.

ProSource is set to open a lighting technology and learning center at Dallas Market Center in January 2021.

The customized space was designed by David Warfel and Mark Langston, both of Light Can Help You, a lighting design firm and exclusive ProSource partner for education. The space will feature multiple residential rooms showcasing smart home systems and devices for the benefit of ProSource members with the support of the vendor partners Proluxe by American Lighting; Colorbeam Lighting; DMF Lighting; Savant/USAI; Vantage; and AiSPiRE, a WAC company. In addition to hosting live ProSource Lighting Certification training sessions, the space will also be available for individual ProSource members and vendors to host exclusive influencer and customer events. The space will also be utilized for creating video demonstrations for online learning.

“On behalf of ProSource, we are eager to create a state-of-the-art center at the Dallas Market Center to illustrate a comprehensive connected home system plan — with lighting as the centerpiece,” says Langston, chief lighting advisor, Light Can Help You. “It’s so important to have a platform for direct engagement and education about these products and lighting techniques, and there is no better location than the North American home of residential lighting.”

Warfel, chief evangelist at Light Can Help You, comments: “The permanent location in the 1.5 million square feet of open-daily Design Showrooms in the Dallas Market Center provides a strategic advantage for the ProSource organization to target the $44 billion U.S. lighting category.”
