As vice president of sales and marketing, Demestre will oversee growth of the company’s national dealers and international fabricators as well as all of QMotion’s marketing and communications efforts. Demestre will continue the company’s aggressive growth strategies with its recent announcement that sales have increased 75% this year compared with the previous year.

With more than thirty-three years in the window treatment business, Demestre most recently served as QMotion’s director of sales and business development. He began his career in the window coverings industry in the customer service department and then moved to be a sales representative for VIMCO in 1981. Working his way through the ranks to national sales manager, then vice president of sales and ultimately as the president/owner. He subsequently sold the company to Lutron Electronics in 2000. In 2005, he launched G&G Window Coverings Inc., a distribution company for non-solar screen fabrics and unique window covering products, and Alkenz USA, as president and CEO, overseeing day-to-day operations and business development in the United States.

“I thrive on the challenges encountered while building a nascent organization into an industry stronghold,” said Demestre. “In the short time since QMotion Advanced Shading Systems were introduced, they’ve garnered praise from experts throughout the window covering industry as the breakout product that has what it takes to grow the motorized shade category from a niche market to a mainstay in the industry. QMotion Shades provide exciting new options that are both stylish and cost-effective, especially for residential, hospitality and commercial markets.”
