Registration Open for 2020 CEDIA Awards & Leadership Conference

Second annual event takes place July 21-22 at the Union League Club of Chicago.

CEDIA Leadership Conference

Registration is now open for this year’s CEDIA Awards & Leadership Conference, which debuted last year in Chicago. The gathering will take place July 21-22 at the historic Union League Club of Chicago. The event will provide CEDIA members with opportunities to network, sharpen their leadership skills, and celebrate the very best home technology integration projects.

“For 2020, we’re including even more valuable time to network, beginning the evening of July 21 where the first 130 to register for the CEDIA Awards & Leadership Conference will watch the Chicago Cubs take on the Chicago White Sox from Wrigley Rooftops,” says senior vice president of industry engagement, Giles Sutton. “The event is the perfect mix of fun, connectivity, and productivity and we look forward to a high-energy gathering.”

The Leadership Conference will kick off the morning of July 22 with an engaging slate of presenters taking on key topics designed to drive business. The grand CEDIA Awards celebration will follow later that evening, showcasing the greatest projects from the Americas region, honoring those who make the innovations and contributions of technology happen in the home. The evening will also include a pre-event cocktail hour.

“The presenters we’ve assembled for the Leadership Conference, Linzi Boyd and David Brown, are incredible and inspiring speakers,” says Samantha Ventura , CEDIA vice president of education and training. “We’ve changed the approach to feature fewer, but more marquee presenters and subjects. Based on comments from last year’s attendees and with feedback from a task force, we know we’ve hit the right formula. Participants will receive tons of valuable takeaways to broaden theLinzi Boydir leadership horizons and boost their business.”

Linzi Boyd, a serial entrepreneur who is an international speaker, author, and founder of Business of Brand and BoB School, will host three sessions throughout the day on July 22. Boyd’s highly interactive presentations have been delivered throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. At the CEDIA Leadership Conference, Boyd will focus on topics involving purpose-driven, brand-led leadership; business and personal growth; and personal branding.

The titles of Boyd’s presentations are:

  • Building Brands to Shift Industries: Today, Tomorrow, The Future
  • Find Your Formula for Growth
  • Turn your Profile into an Asset – Push vs. Pull
David Brown

Metrostudy senior vice president David Brown’s session will provide an eye-opening look into residential construction’s current state and where it’s most likely heading. The Economic Outlook for the Industry draws upon exclusive, market-by-market valuation, supply, and demand predictive models from Metrostudy, which bills itself as the nation’s best-connected best-researched housing data firm.

The CEDIA Awards shines a worldwide spotlight on the industry’s finest projects. The event in Chicago will honor the best work from CEDIA members in the Americas region. The deadline for entries in the Americas region, which you can connect to here, is March 23.
