Registration Open for CEDIA EXPO 2013

Registration is open and early bird discounts are available for CEDIA EXPO 2013, hosted at the Colorado Convention Center, September 25-28.

Registration is open and early bird discounts are available for CEDIA EXPO 2013, hosted at the Colorado Convention Center, September 25-28.

CEDIA EXPO has the largest offering of training for home technology professionals, with a total of 107 sessions available. Of those courses, 36 are brand new, keeping CEDIA EXPO attendees up to date on the latest in technology trends and business topics. Some of new courses include Delivering Custom on a Standard Budget; The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Working with Other Trades; and Who Hired All These Crazy People.

CEDIA training is categorized into five areas of focus, these areas include: business growth, emerging trends, forging alliances, operational excellence and technical excellence. Attendees can easily search and select their courses based on their preferred area of concentration.

“From expanding and defining technical skills to working towards profits, CEDIA training is designed to give home technology professionals every advantage in running a successful business that is future-focused and driven by smart decisions,” said Dave Pedigo, senior director of Learning and Emerging Trends.

Attendees looking to take full advantage of the training offered can purchase a CEDIA Training Pass for $399* which allows them to register for as many courses as they can fit in their schedule. CEDIA has also introduced a new Networking Training Pass that allows attendees to take two networking courses and sit for the CEDIA Residential Networking Specialist Exam for the low price of $299**.

“CEDIA EXPO brings home technology professionals the essential training they need to continue to own the home, and this includes mastering the network,” said Steven Rissi, CEDIA technical training manager. “Attendees can choose from all-day workshops and individual courses that will set them on the path to being a CEDIA Residential Networking specialist.”

In addition to the new selection of training courses, CEDIA has also added some new events to the CEDIA EXPO roster to help attendees network and make the most out of their CEDIA EXPO experience. New attendees can learn the ropes and meet industry veterans at the First Time Attendee Orientation. Another way for attendees to meet fellow industry members is by signing up for one of the new Dining with Strangers events that allows attendees to make connections with others in the industry over lunch or dinner in Denver.

CEDIA has also made it easier for attendees to plan their show schedule; the new registration system will alert users when there is a time conflict with selected courses and allow them to see where they have space in their schedule. The CEDIA EXPO website system also provides a live chat feature so attendees can get their questions answered on anything from what courses to take to shuttle routes.

The CEDIA EXPO virtual registration brochure offers more information on the CEDIA training as well as other events planned for the show.
