Residential Systems Names Top Industrial Designs

Residential Systems magazine (www.resmagonline.com) presented it second-annual Resi Awards, honoring the most innovative product designs in the custom installation industry, to 14 winners during a reception, September 8 at CEDIA EXPO.

New York, NY — Residential Systems magazine (www.resmagonline.com) presented it second-annual Resi Awards, honoring the most innovative product designs in the custom installation industry, to 14 winners during a reception, September 8 at CEDIA EXPO. An esteemed panel of custom installers and industrial designers judged this year’s entries on their aesthetic appeal, problem-solving capabilities, and ergonomic design.

“This was a great second year the Resi Awards,” said Jeremy Glowacki, editor of Residential Systems. “We received a lot more entires and a great sampling of the most aesthetically appealing, intuitive, and ergonomically designed products in the industry. Resi judges recognized 14 winners in 13 product categories. Each of of this year’s Resi Awards winners will be featured in Residential Systems’ October Fall Fashion Issue. This year’s esteemed winners are Nexus Audio Systems’ Model C-6 (Best A/V Controller/Receiver), Acoustic Innovation’s Showcase Personal Theaters (Best Combined Product Family), Chief Manufacturing’s Reaction Series PDR Dual Arm Wall Mount (Best Custom Install Accessory), Kaleidescape’s Kaleidescape System 3000/3500 (Best Home Networking Product), Sonance’s Mariner 82 Outdoor Speaker (Best In-Wall, On-Wall, or Outdoor Speaker), Richard Gray’s Power Company’s PowerHouse (Best Power Management Product), Universal Electronic’s Nevo SL (Best Remote Control), Denon’s DVD-5910 Universal DVD Player and ELAN’s D1650 16-Channel Amplifier (Best Source Component or Power Amp), Crestron’s Isys i/O TPMC-17-CH (Best Touchscreen Control System), Artison’s Sketch Tower (Best Tower or Bookshelf Speaker), SIM2 Multimedia’s THL40 LINK (Best Video Display), Runco’s CineWide with AutoScope (Best Video Projector), Crestron’s iLux CLS-C6 6-Zone Integrated Lighting Controller (Best Wall Keypad).
