Torus Power, a subsidiary of Plitron Manufacturing, and a manufacturer of power conditioners, has signed a new global strategic development partnership with David Rodarte and ChangingVelocity to help define the Torus Power global market strategy and value proposition while refining the product lineup to best serve the brand.
Torus Power’s toroidal isolation power conditioning technology has been developed over the last 30 years by parent company Plitron Manufacturing, and is utilized by many AV industry manufacturers in amplifiers and other power-hungry components found in residential, commercial, and industrial audio video installations.
“We are pleased to be working with David Rodarte and are thrilled to have the power of ChangingVelocity behind us,” said Howard Gladstone, president and CEO of both Torus Power and Plitron Manufacturing. “Torus Power is a unique product line built on a strong heritage of unequaled quality and unrivaled performance, and we’re confident that David’s valuable industry experience will help the brand maximize its true marketplace potential.”
Rodarte, former general manager of NuVo Technologies, recently launched ChangingVelocity, a consulting company assisting North American and European businesses with strategic planning, acquisition sourcing, and global business development. Rodarte led NuVo to 10-fold sales growth, ultimately reaching 40 countries. The scope of his experience is global, and his unique, organic approach has proven to produce results.
“It is a pleasure to work with a 30-year enterprise devoted to delivering the best power conditioning products and technologies available,” Rodarte said. “During a recent visit, I had the opportunity to interact with employees having more than 25 years of craftsmanship experience with Plitron, many of whom now work on the Torus Power product line. Manufacturing precision transformers with incredible detail and pride; this is truly a special company that does not accept compromise.”
