Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) is now shipping its T2-Cs+ handheld remote controller and the advanced XP-3 central control processor, just in time for CEDIA EXPO 2011.

“The T2-Cs+ and XP-3 represent a small preview of some of the great highlights in store at our CEDIA booth this year, and we are very excited to have them shipping in time for the show,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “Packed full of innovative technologies and advanced features, the T2-Cs+ and XP-3 deliver complete control and powerful capabilities. There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding these products since we announced their release, so we encourage CEDIA attendees to stop by our booth and see what all the excitement is about.”

The next generation of RTI’s popular T2-Cs handheld controller, the T2-Cs+ adds a number of features for intuitive control over even the most complex AV systems, the company says. The T2-Cs+ sports a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen for improved image quality and an increased viewing angle, and 128 MB of Flash memory and a 532-MHz CPU provide a boost in performance. The controller’s dual-RF platform supports both 433-MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4-GHz ZigBee for bidirectional communication with RTI processors and supported third-party electronics such as music servers, lighting, and web-based RSS feeds for convenient weather updates. Graphics programming for the T2-Cs+ has also been simplified by allowing for a fully customizable user interface.

Boasting a powerful 533-MHz CPU and 128 MB of nonvolatile Flash memory, the XP-3 processor features a built-in RF transceiver and support for wireless bidirectional communications utilizing ZigBee technology. It can provide the user with real-time feedback from supported third-party devices such as music servers, lighting, and security. Important data from these devices is available to the user with a simple touch, from current song metadata to the status of a security system and even the weather forecast.

The T2-Cs+ and XP-3 are available at MSRPs of $699 and $499, respectively.
