Newmarket, NH–Russound has promoted company veteran Diane ONeill to director of finance and accounting, and company newcomer Teresa Steenbeke was hired to fill the position of tradeshow manager.
With the considerable growth Russound has experienced in 2006, and continues to experience in 2007, the company is turning to its proven staff for future leaders. We’ve challenged our workforce with increased responsibilities and in turn, many have truly stepped-up and met the challenge with great success,” said Linda Mariotti, Russound’s chief financial officer. “Diane in particular, has proven herself to be a leader and has helped in shaping the financial structure that is the backbone of our company.”
ONeill, who until recently served as Russounds controller, reports to both Mariotti, and company president, Maureen Baldwin, as she works to explore new opportunities, manage day-to-day operations, oversee trend analysis, and assist with tax planning. When she first joined Russound in 1999, ONeill served as an accounting manager for six months prior to her promotion to controller.
Commented ONeill, One of the great things about my role at Russound is that Im emboldened to run with ideas, and everyone is encouraged to examine how we can achieve our goals in new and different ways.
Teresa Steenbeke joins Russound after stints as travel and accommodations manager for the Telluride and Tribeca Film Festivals, respectively. Steenbeke, whose predecessor, Maria Linvill, was transferred to the position of customer support and Education Department coordinator, coordinates all tradeshow activities for the company, including travel and accommodations, logistics and transport, communication with show sponsors, promotional opportunities, and related efforts.
We are very fortunate to have someone with Teresas background handling our tradeshows, said Rich Guida, Russounds director of marketing. Her ability to coordinate the myriad of elements that are part of any tradeshow is staggering, and she does so with remarkable attention to detail and a wonderful sense of humor.
