Russound is making an increased focus on its training capabilities with its recent hire. Sean “Smitty” Smith will join the company as the new training specialist, bringing his encyclopedic knowledge of the custom installed audio market to Russound’s extensive network of dealers and distributors around the globe.

Sean “Smitty” Smith

Smith brings a wealth of talent to his new role, boasting high profile positions that include product technical specialist for Niles Corporation, a designer at Boca Theater, and a sales representative for AVAD Corporation. At Russound, Smith is helping to drive understanding and proficiency in the company’s wide range of technically advanced whole house audio products, including the XStream wired/wireless system and Russound’s industry-leading amplifiers, speakers, and accessories.

The move is seen as part of Russound’s ongoing effort to reinforce its place as a forerunner in the whole house audio market, affecting how high resolution audio is installed, streamed, and enjoyed nationally and globally.

“Smitty is one of the most respected tech specialists in the business, and with good reason,” said Russound’s CEO Charlie Porritt. “He’s an expert at communicating the most intricate product details and benefits, and understands how to translate these attributes into sales messages and, ultimately, end-user satisfaction. We’re lucky to have him on the team.”

“Russound is singular in its approach to designing high performance, highly reliable products that bring the best of modern technologies to consumers who only want the best and most consistently reliable performance from whole house audio. There’s a reason why the company has been a market leader for more than forty-five years,” said Smith.
