Salamander Designs has promoted Michael Babowicz to vice president of product innovation, a new role that reflects a deliberate commitment to putting customer-driven insight at the center of every product decision. In this new role, Babowicz will serve as a dedicated resource for Salamander’s partner and customer community, bringing deep product expertise and a genuine passion for solving real-world challenges across both residential and commercial markets. He will also play a central role in defining Salamander’s ongoing product roadmap, ensuring that the company’s direction is always shaped by the real needs of the people it serves.
Babowicz has spent 21 years working side by side with Salamander’s integrator partners and end customers in his role leading engineering, earning a reputation as a trusted, go-to resource. His hands-on understanding of how Salamander’s products perform in the field and where they can go further makes him uniquely suited to this position. As VP of product innovation, Babowicz steps into a customer-facing role, working directly with partners and their stakeholders to support them on projects, understand evolving needs, identify product gaps, and help shape what comes next.
Babowicz’s focus will span pre-sales engineering support and product customization, product roadmap development, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that Salamander’s innovations are always aligned with what customers and the market need. He will provide customer solutions, training, and serve as a bridge between the field and Salamander’s internal teams — ensuring the voice of the customer is heard at every stage of the process.
