Savant Systems LLC has announced the addition of Y-cam to their Partners In Excellence cooperative program.
Savant’s Partners In Excellence initiative has been targeted to achieve global compatibility between Savant’s control systems and a diverse group of best-in-class manufacturers from the audio, video, lighting control, HVAC, and security industries, as well as devices and subsystems from many related markets.
Founded in 2005, Y-cam is a provider of remote monitoring products for residential and small business applications. Y-cam has generated a following within the Mac community for delivering a standalone camera that fully supports MAC functionality and is capable of high infrared night visibility, the company says.
“Joining Savant’s Partners in Excellence program is a common sense initiative—we both provide solutions for the same customer base,” said Simon Carr, commercial director at Y-cam. “As a result of the Partners in Excellence program, we will be able to provide a better security component to the home automation marketplace.”
