Stanley Black & Decker has announced that Baldwin high-end residential door hardware and Kwikset locks have partnered with Savant to expand the power of Savant’s home automation technology to the front door.

Through this dual partnership, homeowners will have greater flexibility to select an electronic lock that fits their lifestyle, matches their price-point and reflects the architectural style of their home.

“Baldwin and Kwikset’s dual partnership with Savant will increase homeowners’ ability to customize their home automation preferences by providing an electronic lock solution at every price-point,” said Keith Brandon, Home Connect marketing manager, Stanley Black & Decker. “We are excited to be joining Savant in the NextGen Home Experience at CES in January to showcase how this partnership amplifies the power and convenience of Home Connect technology.”

Savant’s home automation systems allow consumers to control various home settings from their smartphone, tablet or any secure Internet connection. The system seamlessly syncs with Baldwin Keyless Entry with Home Connect as well as Kwikset SmartCode with Home Connect, allowing homeowners to monitor their front door from any web-enabled mobile device or secure Internet connection, even when they’re on a business trip or vacation 10,000 miles away.

In addition, Home Connect technology features a motorized deadbolt allowing homeowners to lock and unlock their doors remotely – ideal for when the kids beat Mom home from school or the house cleaner arrives while everyone is still at work. When teamed with a compatible home control system such as Savant, Baldwin and Kwikset electronic locks can wirelessly communicate with other “smart devices” in the home such as lighting and temperature, seamlessly triggering homeowners’ personal preferences from the minute they unlock their door.

“This strategic partnership allows Savant to accelerate our continued growth in intelligent control systems and smart home technologies just in time for CES,” said Craig Spinner, director of marketing, Savant. “Baldwin and Kwikset’s knowledge and experience in providing secure residential locks and interoperable technology to homeowners is the perfect addition to our all-in-one security and home management system.”
