Savant Partners With Nest, iPort

Savant has expanded its partner program with the addition of Nest and iPort.

Savant has expanded its partner program with the addition of Nest and iPort. They join Sonos, Sony, Lutron, and PureLink as Savant Elite Partners. The intent of Savant’s partner program is to deliver innovative home automation experiences with bestinclass products and partners across the key pillars of home automation, including entertainment, lighting, climate, and security.

iPort Control Mount“As a leader in premium home automation for over a decade, Savant has learned that our customers want to use the Savant platform to control products that share our values—great design and reliable performance backed by trusted brands that stand behind their products,” said William Lynch, CEO of Savant. “Our goal is to create a single user experience that’s unparalleled in the world of connected homes, and one way we do that is by selectively integrating terrific products in innovative ways that our integrators and customers love. Today’s announcement with Nest and iPort is further evidence of our strategy to curate and integrate with great brands.”

With new elite partner Nest, Savant product lines are now certified as Works with Nest. Through integration with Nest Thermostat, it’s easy for customers to ensure their home is always set to the ideal temperature. Homeowners will also be able to use Nest’s “Away” mode to activate a Savant Scene, which can automatically turn everything off after they leave the house.

“Nest and Savant share a common value to offer products with exceptional design and to deliver personalized customer experiences,” said Gene LaNois, head of professional channel at Nest. “With this partnership, Nest is excited to provide our customers the capability to create the home environment they desire.”

The company’s strategic partnership with iPort aims to develop a deeper integration across all Dana Innovations brands, including Sonance and TRUFIG. These integrations allow, for example, Savant Scenes and workflows to be activated using the buttons on the Surface Mount with Buttons dock. In addition, Savant will be adding iPort products to the Store for Savant Authorized Integrators.

Nest Smart Thermostat“iPort’s mission is to connect technology and life and to enhance the home in every way,” said Ari Supran, CEO. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Savant to do that, and to beautifully integrate automation into the home for a simple and savvy smart home experience.”

Savant’s existing partnerships with Sonos and PureLink are also expanding. Savant and Sonos have worked toward a common goal of delivering the best music experience in connected homes. In addition to being named by Sonos as one of a select few endorsed integration partners, Savant also recently announced an expanded Sonos integration as part of its newest software updates for the Savant and Savant Pro product lines. With these updates, customers will be able to create and schedule scenes incorporating Sonos. Homeowners can play music through any of their Sonos speakers, use voice commands to cue up a playlist, and even combine music and lighting into a scene that can be scheduled to set the mood automatically at any moment.

“Together with Savant, we are defining new and innovative connected home experiences that are making it even easier for customers to listen to their favorite music out loud in any room of their home,” said Andrew Vloyanetes, global business development manager at Sonos. “Savant’s unique scene functionality gives music lovers new ways to easily incorporate their favorite music into everyday moments, helping them get even more out of their smart home experience.”

The PureLink partnership features new 4K video switches created exclusively for Savant by PureLink—designed to meet the specifications most often requested Savant Integrators and making it easier for homeowners to enjoy the benefits of ultra-high definition video.
