Screen Innovations (SI), manufacturer of multi-directional ambient light rejecting Black Diamond projection screen technology, has revealed an increased focus on—and presence in—the Commercial AV market.
To support the company’s expansion and growth, SI has appointed industry veteran Howard Borsa as director of commercial accounts and added several new commercial products to its lineup.
Borsa, most recently with Vutec, brings to SI over 28 years of progressive industry sales experience with an intensive focus on video display technologies and associated solutions for an ever-changing technical marketplace. Borsa’s arrival coincides with the debut of SI’s latest commercial product, FlexGlass, a new rear projection screen material that offers the benefits of rigid optical panels with the added benefit of custom and curve capabilities that can only be achieved with a flexible screen material, according to the company.
“The timing of both tactical achievements, the acquisition of Howard Borsa, with his long-standing presence in the market and masterful sales management skills, and the introduction of our new FlexGlass rear-projection screens and other commercial product solutions, establishes SI as a force to be reckoned with in the Commercial market,” said Ryan Gustafson, president of Screen Innovations. “Our new commercial lineup will rival those of traditional standard-bearers. What you see in the line now is only the beginning. By InfoComm 2013, SI will have a stable of new and innovative products ideally suited for commercial applications.”
Borsa has held similar positions with Vutec, Mitsubishi Electronics, Raysat and Techsonic Industries. At SI, as he will be responsible for expanding SI’s commercial presence and product offerings.
“The decision to join Screen Innovations was an easy one for me. Not only does SI provide unique solutions, but their remarkable growth year over year in a down economy is proof that the solutions provided are both versatile and viable,” said Borsa. “The commercial market simply begs for products like those found in our assortment, and I am thrilled to take the solutions we have as well as the ones we are innovating to market. As an industry, we must deliver products and technologies that best support the dynamic community of commercial integrators, specifiers, designers and end-users. It is with this in mind that I joined the SI team. There simply is no other company that I’ve found to be as progressive, aggressive, or supportive of the markets, verticals and communities it serves.”
