Irvine, CA–Home automation manufacturer Smarthome is participating in Ingram Micros Solution Center facilities, located in Santa Ana, California, and Buffalo, New York.
The Solution Centers are new facilities designed to address the needs of solution partners selling into small, medium, and enterprise IT, as well as consumer electronics markets. Smarthome, the only home-automation provider featured in the centers, offers its own branded products as well as devices from third-party manufacturers that allow users to monitor and control lighting, security, entertainment systems, and more.
Smarthome and Ingram Micro value-added reseller customers can use a Solution Center for proof of concept, live, hands-on product and solution demonstrations, remote access product and solution demonstrations, one-on-one technical briefings and trainings on Smarthome-solutions.

The West Coast Solution Center opened in 2001 and is a 2,000-square-foot, fully equipped training lab and demo facility. The East Coast center in Buffalo began hosting training events in March of this year and had its grand opening in late April. Both centers feature a Digital Home showroom and Digital Signage products. Other top Solution Center providers include: Cisco Systems, Citrix, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Polycom, Viewsonic, and Sony.
Last month Smarthome’s Insteon-enabled products started shipping. Insteon combines the homes electrical wiring with radio frequency (RF) communications delivering remote control of lighting, security, entertainment systems, appliances, climate, and more.
