SnapAV has expanded its product development team with the hiring of Amit Kulkarni, formerly of Sunfire, and G. Paul Hess, formerly of ELAN Home Systems. Both will report to product development director Eric Harper, who joined the company last year from ELAN.

“In 2010 SnapAV brought to market over 300 new products—a true testament to our commitment to equip dealers with nearly everything they need to complete today’s custom job,” said SnapAV founder and president Jay Faison. “In 2011 we intend to maintain that same momentum, adding to existing lines and continuing expansion into new categories. Having accomplished product development specialists like Amit and G. Paul onboard is essential for our research and development and directly benefits SnapAV dealers.”
Amit KulkarniAmit Kulkarni comes to SnapAV with four years of mechanical engineering design and product management experience with Sunfire. He holds a MBA from University of Washington, a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, and a Bachelors in Engineering from the University of Pune in India.
G. Paul Hess brings a strong background in both custom installation and design, and business development with the ELAN family of brands, to his new role. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.
