SnapAV’s Araknis Networks Adds New Switches

Araknis Networks, a brand division of SnapAV, has begun shipping its new 300-series switches line enabled for the cloud-based OvrC.

Araknis Networks, a brand division of SnapAV, has begun shipping its new 300-series switches line enabled for the cloud-based OvrC, a cloud app designed to streamline the integrator’s life.

Araknis 300-series switches support 1 Gbps on all ports simultaneously to provide powerful, reliable connectivity for conventional network devices like PCs, Apple TVs, and other media products.“OvrC represents the next step forward for our industry,” said Ayham Ereksousi, category manager for Araknis Networks. “Networking has become an enormous part of the modern homeowner’s life. The ability to manage and troubleshoot devices through the cloud allows integrators more flexibility by organizing their customer data and eliminating unnecessary service calls.”

Araknis 300-series switches support 1 Gbps on all ports simultaneously to provide connectivity for conventional network devices like PCs, Apple TVs, and other media products. Its web interface is designed to be simple to navigate and allow installers to name individual ports for fast troubleshooting, allows customers to set up VLANs to isolate chatty devices, and enhances network performance from end to end.

OvrC enablement for these switches allows the integrator to power cycle individual PoE ports, change port speed and names, access the local GUI, get notifications, manage customers and devices, update firmware, and much more. “This is only part of what we plan to accomplish,” Ereksousi added. “We’re really excited about what’s to come.”

Araknis Networks switches are available for sale at snapav.com.
