Santa Barbara, CA-Sonos, Inc., the leading developer of wireless multi-room music systems for the digital home, today announced the award-winning Sonos Digital Music System is now available at ABT Electronics in Chicagoland, ten Ken Cranes in Southern California and six Vanns in Montana.
All retail locations will feature demos showcasing Sonos revolutionary approach to digital music services. By running broadband Internet connections to the Sonos point-of-sale display, music lovers can now experience the power of having direct access to millions of songs and thousands of personalized radio stations via the Rhapsody Online Music Service and Pandora. Sonos connects directly to these services over the Internet, allowing consumers to instantly access songs and stations on the handheld Controller without ever having to turn on the computer.
Each regional retailer will carry the entire Sonos product line, including the new Sonos Bundle 130 (BU130). The BU130, which retails for $999, is the most convenient and cost effective way for new Sonos customers to get started playing digital music in two rooms of their house with control from the palm of their hand. Now, in one package, a new customer will find a ZonePlayer 80 (ZP80) which can be connected to an existing stereo or home theater receiver to instantly make it part of a digital music system; a ZonePlayer 100 (ZP100) which can be connected to speakers and placed in any room; and a Sonos Controller (CR100) providing wireless multi-room control of all your music from any room in the house.
Digital music in the home is going mainstream and it is important for us to find retail partners that have the unique combination of product expertise and demonstration capabilities, said Bob Werner, managing director of AMPAC, Sonos Inc. We are pleased to work with ABT, Ken Cranes, and Vanns to bring the joy of multi-room music to their customers.
