Los Angeles, CA–Sony Electronics has introduced a new multi-room, multi-zone A/V distribution system and controller designed exclusively for custom installers.
The new CAV-M1000ES system is a single box solution that works seamlessly as an entertainment/distribution center and can accommodate home theater set-up.
With numerous inputs and outputs, it can connect to and control most audio and video components throughout the house, including CD and DVD players, VCRs, cable or satellite boxes, and high-definition receivers, as well as multiple televisions, enabling complete management of multiple components.
“The new multi-zone control system is the result of innovative technology and our push for unique products that benefit our customers as well as the industry,” said senior vice president of Sony’s Consumer Systems and Applications division, Bill Fox. “It reflects the best of both worlds by not only simplifying multi-room, multi-zone A/V distribution, but also empowering the installers and users with simple installation, ease of use and, most importantly, complete control over their entertainment components throughout the home.”
Sony also stated that custom installers will benefit from comprehensive installation; the single box with standard wiring and does not require additional line-level programming.
The CAV-M1000ES multi-zone control system and the touch screen main controller will be available exclusively for the custom installation channel in June for about $4,400 and $400, respectively.
