Sony Expands Custom Install Division Hours and Staff Sony Electronics has expanded the hours and staffing at its Integration Support Hotline due to growth at its Custom Install division. By RS Staff Published: September 3, 2015 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 Sony Electronics has expanded the hours and staffing at its Integration Support Hotline due to growth at its Custom Install division. Sony’s Integration Support Hotline, 866.924.7669, is available exclusively to custom integrators and is staffed with CEDIA-certified technicians able to assist in configuring Sony products for integration as well as troubleshooting product and system issues. The hotline supplements Sony’s other support resources for the Custom Installation channel, including a nationwide network of 15 rep firms that can provide local support, Sony field technical sales managers, and a dedicated team that works on ensuring Sony product compatibility with major control companies’ protocols. Sony increased the hotline’s hours of operation by two hours, to 6 a.m.-5 p.m. PST. This will allow Sony to offer 9-to-5 coverage in all time zones of the continental U.S., and additional coverage during peak hours. The hotline is also adding a U.S.-based agent, Eric Lippert, who is based in Fort Myers, FL and has more than 18 years of experience providing technical support for Sony products. Lippert has won several internal Sony awards for excellence in customer support.
