SpeakerCraft, Monster, Lutron and D-Tools have announced a joint venture, the 2011 “Power of Four Summer Tour,” designed to provide custom electronics professionals with post-recession tips and techniques for changing and growing their businesses.

The free, four-city tour kicks off July 19.

Each session includes a keynote presentation by Tim Costello, chairman and CEO of both BDX, Inc. and of Builder Homesite. Interactive networking sessions and manufacturer presentations will include discussions with Jeremy Burkhardt, CEO of SpeakerCraft, Noel Lee, CEO of Monster, Jeff Zemanek, director of new business development at Lutron and Seth Rubenstein, international sales at D-Tools. The full-day sessions, which run 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., are being offered free of charge.

“SpeakerCraft pioneered education not focused on product for this industry,” said Burkhardt. “To have amazing companies like Monster, Lutron and D-Tools join our education philosophy as a team is really rad. Dealers will make more profit and success by joining us.”

The Power of Four Summer Tour will focus on helping dealers cope with the “new normal.” Sessions will focus on identifying and taking advantage of some key opportunities for growth, including: “Booming toward Retirement,” a session focused on the market of baby boomers; “The Green Home Movement”; “Selling to Gen Y and Minorities”; and “Expanding Horizons,” a session focused on new wealth in emerging countries.

“We are psyched to work with this great group of manufacturers and take our message of efficiency and adaptability to dealers across the country,” said Adam Stone, president and CEO of D-Tools. “Our industry continues to evolve and we as a group want to help ensure that our customers better understand what it is going to take to survive and thrive.”

“Taking care of the customer is at the core of what we do,” said Zemanek. “Helping dealers uncover new opportunities to reshape their businesses is a step in the right direction for everyone.”

The Power of Four Summer Tour includes four US dates:
* July 19 – Hyatt Regency DFW in Dallas, TX
* July 21 – Lutron Experience Center in Irvine, CA
* July 26 – Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe in Teaneck, NJ
* July 28 – Intercontinental at Doral in Miami, FL
