Stealth Acoustics has introduced the Stealth Patio Theater (SPT), a customizable outdoor entertainment solution comprised of scalable, large format, high luminosity, motorized LED screens that are accompanied by Stealth’s outdoor speaker and amplifier technologies.

SPT emerges from a fixed structural element using motorized lifts and a hidden containment that houses the screen safely when not in use. The containment element can be designed to match the architecture of a home or to be recessed, depending on the needs of the project. Stealth’s outdoor speakers and subwoofers can be completely hidden into the structures. The solution integrates fully with any entertainment source content and third party control systems.

The modular SPT is available in a number of stock configurations or fully customizable. The screen sizes, resolutions, speaker, amplifier, front-end, and content integration choices are all customizable. This allows for smaller, repeatable systems to large-scale boutique solutions.

The LED screens allows the system to perform in direct sunlight. Pixel block elements with LED pitch spacing are available from 2mm to 5mm. The Stealth audio system includes speakers, amps, speaker signal processing, and video scaling, as well as a control and source computer. Standard speaker systems are 5.1 with LCR and subs installed in the screen base, supported by outboard surrounds and additional subwoofers. Standard systems use Stealth LR3G for LCR, StingRays for surrounds, and B30 built-in subwoofers, accompanied by a pedestal style SR430 sub. Custom speaker solutions are available.

SPT incorporates a specialized computer that acts as the main controller for the system and allows for storage and playback of digital movies, DVDs, and streaming content. These sources are enabled via Stealth’s proprietary media player software configuration and controlled by the computer keyboard and mouse, by a wireless control tablet, or as part of a third party control system. SPT is compatible with all major control systems that support IP, serial, IR, and HTML integration.

RS232 controllable HDMI routing is included standard, allowing for easy addition of other sources, such as BluRay players, Cable Boxes, Satellite Receivers, Off-Air Tuners, Apple TV (streamers), etc.

For a 100-inch diagonal 4mm screen, with standard mounting base, lift, 5.1 Stealth speakers and subwoofers, amplification and control/source computer retails for about $85,000 with an 80-point margin for the dealer. This excludes site preparation and infrastructure for surround speakers, equipment locations, etc. Larger or higher resolution screens, specific sound system solutions, additional source components, and other customizations are available at additional cost, as are Stealth’s design, detailing, documentation, and commissioning services. Stealth quotes final pricing on a per system basis after determining the system performance and design goals, services required, and allied engineering and support needs, all in concert with the dealer.
