Talk of the Town Plans Designer Event

Talk of the Town and NY Spaces magazines are co-sponsoring an open house for interior designers and architects this week in its Allendale, New Jersey, showroom.

Meridian and SIM2 will be among the featured manufacturers at the event, which will take place Thursday, October 15, from 5:30 to 7:30.

NY Spaces editor, Jason Kontos, and famed home theater designer, Theo Kalomirakis, will be on hand for the wine and hors d’oeuvres event, titled “The Automated Home.”

The evening is designed to allow attendees to see and hear the latest in audio, video, home theater, and automation technology, and to find out more about the various ways that these technologies can be integrated into projects while maintaining design integrity.

“With so many home entertainment and automation options available, this event is an excellent opportunity for architects, designers, and builders to see how seamlessly these technologies can be integrated into residential design and construction,” Talk of the Town’s sales and marketing manager, Greg Bastug, said. “Today, smart-home design is essential, not just for the enjoyment the technology can deliver, but for the long-term resale appeal and energy-cost savings smart homes provide.”

Talk of the Town staff and manufacturer representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide informal one-on-one demonstrations of the various systems on display.

The first 50 attendees will also receive an autographed copy of Kalomirakis’ coffee table book, “Great Escapes: New Designs for Home Theaters.”
