The EDGE Distributors Group Announces Board Changes

Seattle, WA — The EDGE Distributors Group, a growing service-oriented group of 13 independently owned regional distributors catering primarily to custom install and residential systems integrators, has announced several changes to its board of directors effective January 1, 2009.

Ron Harker joins the board of directors as a vice president. A veteran of the consumer electronics industry since 1987, Harker is principal of custom distribution company CTD Marketing (located in Indiana and Kentucky). CTD has been a member of The EDGE Distributors Group since 2005. In his new role, Harker replaces EDGE Group members Bill Richards and Glen O’Brien. Both previously shared the vice president seat from 2006-2008.

“I am excited to join the EDGE board during this challenging time. I look forward to working with the group to develop exciting opportunities for our members and their customers,” Harker said.

“Ron Harker will be a terrific addition to the EDGE Group board of directors,” said Katye McGregor, director of The EDGE Group. “He has been active on committees already, and has been responsible for several key initiatives within the Group over the last few years. We are excited to have him on the board in this role.”

Treasurer and secretary Chet Flynn, principal of New England-based EDGE Group member Necessities, will serve another two-year term. Mike Levy, principal of Colorado-based Cutting Edge Distributors, was appointed board member-at-large for a two-year term.

In his new position, Levy will function as a liaison between the board of directors and The EDGE Group membership. Levy is charged with the task of spearheading special projects on behalf of the group.

Both EDGE Distributors Group president Mike Hench and vice president Brett Neiderman will continue in their respective posts through 2009.
