Somfy Systems, Inc. has announced its 100th TaHomA Authorized Dealer, TimberBlind Metro Shade. Headquartered in McKinney, TX, and established in 1997, TimberBlind Metro Shade is a provider of blinds and custom window shades.

TaHomA is an affordable home automation system which gives users total control of all of their Somfy motorized window coverings, along with lighting and thermostats using Z-wave, an interoperable two-way RF mesh networking technology. TaHomA manages the home’s “Energy Triangle” — natural light, artificial light, and temperature — to optimize energy usage and maximize energy efficiency. Accessible from computers, tablets and smartphones, TaHomA’s user-friendly interface guides consumers with step-by-step prompts as they personalize their system after professional installation by dealers like TimberBlind.

“We couldn’t be happier that TimberBlind is not only part of the TaHomA program, but our 100th professionally trained dealer,” said TaHomA national sales manager Gina Lutkus. “The TaHomA dealer network is growing rapidly and we are thrilled to have reached the 100th dealer milestone less than a year after launch.”

A Somfy motorization partner since 1998, TimberBlind is already known for its wide variety of custom window coverings. By increasing their product offering with TaHomA, TimberBlinds can now promote an automation solution for its motorized products including horizontal blinds, roller shades and more. With TimberBlind motorized solutions controlled by TaHomA, users can experience more convenient control and improved energy efficiency.

“We are extremely excited to expand our relationship with Somfy and proud to be the 100th authorized TaHomA dealer,” said Kevin McCann, commercial sales manager of TimberBlind. “We are excited to start installing this versatile system and think it is a great way to promote automation to our new and existing motorization customers.”
