TiO Launch Fuels Expansion of ACTP

Automated Control Technology Partners, Inc. (ACTP), the parent company for a number of custom electronics brands and products, is expanding its corporate headquarters in Orlando, FL to accommodate the rapid growth of its new home automation brand, TiO.

Automated Control Technology Partners, Inc. (ACTP), the parent company for a number of custom electronics brands and products, is expanding its corporate headquarters in Orlando, FL to accommodate the rapid growth of its new home automation brand, TiO.

ACTP’s facilities will expand by approximately 50 percent to accommodate its growing support staff, including several new positions the company is currently seeking to fill.

“The expansion of our facilities supports our objectives to make ACTP—and its brands, including TiO—one of the leaders in the automation and control space,” said Mike Anderson, CEO and president of ACTP. “With the addition of several new staff positions in key areas, including sales, marketing, product development and engineering, we look forward to the future of ACTP.”

The growth of ACTP follows the successful launch of the TiO brand, announced in May of this year. Driven by an “outside-in” philosophy that focuses on the customer experience, TiO offers a full-featured, Android-based automation and control ecosystem that is easy to install and configure. The introductory suite of products, which begins shipping in September, features Wi-Fi-based multi-zone audio with streaming, lighting and climate control. TiO will also soon support third-party integration with security, video and other subsystems.

“Since its launch, the interest we have received for TiO has been impressive,” said Anderson. “We designed TiO to fill what we saw as a void in the market and we are excited to learn that many dealers share our view. As we get closer to shipping our first TiO products, we find ourselves in the unique position of selecting between multiple dealers in some markets. We are making these choices with an eye towards building long-term relationships and to avoid over-distribution.”

ACTP will present the TiO brand at CEDIA EXPO 2013, held September 25-28 in Denver, CO. While there, attendees will have the opportunity learn more about TiO automation and control systems and how to become an authorized TiO dealer. Dealers seeking immediate information on becoming an authorized TiO dealer are invited to visit http://www.tiohome.com/dealer. (For free entrance to the show, visit https://events.itnint.com/CEDIA13/RegOnline/Landing.aspx and enter code #2225).

ACTP has already experienced growth in several departments with the recent promotion of Matt Curtin to vice president of sales and marketing, as well as the appointment of Colin Clark to product manager and David Fonseca to creative marketing director. ACTP recently filled technical positions including software developer, manufacturing engineering, network administrator, quality control, and vendor relations.
