Chicago, IL–Tripp Lite has appointed Salim Ling as head of engineering, where he will be responsible for all technical aspects of the company’s product design and development.
Ling holds degrees in electrical engineering as well as an MBA, and has served as vice president/general manager at Accton Technologies, US Robotics, and 3Com Corporation. As vice president Asia operation, he successfully led 3Com’s formation of a joint venture in China with Huawei Technologies for the development of IP network switches and routers.
