Universal Remote Hires New Execs

Universal Remote Control Inc., has appointed three new executives, Jon Sienkiewicz, Glenn Gentilin, and Jeff Wagner.

White Plains, NY–Universal Remote Control Inc., has appointed three new executives, Jon Sienkiewicz, Glenn Gentilin, and Jeff Wagner.

Jon Sienkiewicz joins Universal Remote Control as director of marketing with Glenn Gentilin and Jeff Wagner coming in as new technical training managers.

A well-respected veteran in the photographic industry, Mr. Sienkiewicz previously held senior management positions in marketing, sales and service for the last thirty years at Minolta Corporation. Mr. Sienkiewicz is a seasoned executive manager with a successful record in, corporate marketing, channel sales product development, and strategic planning.

A long time audio enthusiast, Glenn Gentilin began his career manufacturing Futterman Tube Amplifiers. He also worked in the engineering labs of Audio Design Associates through most of the 1980s, inspiring him to get an engineering degree. After college, Glenn returned to the A/V industry and became head installer for The Listening Room in Scarsdale, New York. Later, he became project manager for Harvey’s in Mt. Kisco, New York. In 2001 he started Acoustic Architecture, his own custom installation business and developed courses for CEDIA, including Installer Boot Camp and CEDIA University.

In a career that spans more than 17 years, Jeff Wagner has been involved in retail A/V sales, management and installation. Prior to working for Universal Remote Control, Mr. Wagner was the technical training manager for Best Buy. Before that he worked in California for Magnolia Audio Video as the installation manager and carries a state C-7 license as a low-voltage contractor. He founded two custom installation companies in Chicago, FW Custom and Evolution AVC.
