URC is offering what it considers “a significant update” to its Total Control Mobile iOS app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The latest version of the app offers two-way control of URC’s DMS-AV Network Home Theater Amplifier Processor and THZ-100 Advanced Thermostat.

In response to input from URC Total Control dealers, additional third-party drivers are now available as well. The app now delivers two-way control of audio/video receivers from Denon, Integra, Marantz, Onkyo, Pioneer, Sony, and Yamaha; Lutron RadioRA 2 lighting, Proliphix thermostats, TED (The Energy Detective) electricity monitor; and products that use KNX, the international building standard for integration and automation of a wide variety of household products.

The update is now available for download in the Apple iTunes Store.

URC’s Total Control Mobile iOS app enables end users to access all of the features of Total Control through iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices. There is no per-device fee added. All apps downloaded are activated by the URC dealer for a one-time setup fee of $199 MSRP. Once the app is activated, additional devices can be added, and updates can be implemented at any time in the future for no additional charge.

Total Control Mobile duplicates the user experiences and functionality found on URC’s Total Control remote controls and in-wall keypads and touchscreens.
