URC announced that it will host dozens of invited dealers at its headquarters to learn about URC’s new Total Control whole-house control products and technology.
Four sets of two-day sessions are scheduled for this month and next, with projected attendance currently near capacity. The events will take place in URC’s recently renovated world headquarters in Harrison, NY, where a state-of-the-art training room has been added.
“With Total Control now available, and with additional new products launching throughout 2012, it’s the perfect time to begin bringing our invited dealers to our headquarters for this intensive, hands-on training and quality interaction with our entire team,” said Doug Cole, URC’s senior vice president and general manager. “This is not only a terrific chance for comprehensive education, but also a great networking opportunity for our dealers to share best practices and trade stories from the front lines of the custom installation industry.”
Sessions will delve into both technology and sales/marketing topics. Every technician and programmer will have the opportunity to specify, design, program and test Total Control products, as well as receive feedback on their personal performance and product familiarity. Eight racks and full demonstration systems will allow for in-depth hands-on training and certification to enable URC dealers to install Total Control systems (and end users to purchase them) with confidence.
Attendees will get an exclusive sneak preview of future Total Control products in the pipeline. Breakout sessions will provide dealers the opportunity to offer significant input to URC’s leadership team during a special Dealer Advisory meeting. Other benefits include limited demonstration system offers, visibility into new sales and marketing tools, and product giveaways.
“Dealer training has always been critical to our, and our dealers’, success,” said Mitchell Klein, URC’s director of business development and head of URC’s training program. “We’ve long excelled in this area, as evidenced by our two consecutive CE Pro Quest for Quality Platinum Awards for training. With Mission:Control and our other training initiatives slated for 2012 as part of the most important product rollout in our company’s history, we hope to reach new heights to benefit our dealers and their customers.”
