In pursuit of an ever-enhancing user experience, Vantage Controls and Leaf, a custom brand of HD audio/video distribution and switching solutions, have teamed up to provide installers with a comprehensive driver for integrating their systems.

The new Vantage driver will allow installers to easily integrate Leaf’s 20x20 Matrix Switcher within their most demanding custom AV installations. Complete with four HDMI and 16 HDBaseT outputs, the 20x20 features an over 300 foot range and is fully equipped to receive audio and video from up to 52 potential sources, while enabling whole-home AV distribution.

Accessible to certified Vantage installers through the manufacturer’s Design Center software, simply specifying the products used in the installation leads to near-native functionality, the company says.

“This new integration driver, in conjunction with Vantage’s new Equinox family of user interfaces, and the power packed within Leaf’s 20x20 Matrix Switcher delivers a new kind of multi-room audio/video experience,” said Andrew Wale, vice president of marketing for Vantage.

“At Leaf, we are committed to providing our dealers and customers with dependable A/V products that not only enhance their entertainment experience but add simplicity and functionality to their lives,” said Danny Webb, North American sales and marketing manager at Leaf. “Working with Vantage to allow for seamless integration of our 20x20 within their home automation system allows us to marry superior AV performance with the ease of dedicated control—it’s a huge win for the overall customer experience.”

The release of Equinox 73 enables Vantage’s integration with Leaf. Equinox 73 is an always-on, all-in-one LCD touchscreen that provides intuitive control for luxury spaces. This rich-media touchscreen provides all the benefits of multiple traditional system interfaces with the simplicity of a single on wall device; reducing the need and clutter of separate local interfaces for lighting, security, climate, audio, video, etc.

With the dashboard layer, users will swipe for 90 percent of their system control and interaction needs. Equinox 73 functions as a personalized dashboard for multi-system control with a minimalistic on-wall presence. Key to accomplishing this are the on-screen live widgets that are initially configured through Vantage’s Design Center Software and can be modified by users over time. A unique collection of widgets can be organized into a profile and is easily accessed from the dashboard level.
