Vutec Corp. is planning to showcase an array of its projection screen products at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 7-10. Vutec’s exhibit will be located at Las Vegas Convention Center,

At Booth 20713, in South Hall 1, Vutec will showcase the new low-cost ArtScreen Studio Series, which was designed to easily transform flat-panel televisions into a work of art. Inside a hardwood frame an ultra-quiet motor raises or lowers a museum-quality Giclée rollable canvas print with an IR remote control.

Vutec also plans to show its DYNA-CURVE high-gain curved screens for home theater in the Vision-X brand.

“We were the pioneers in the development of the first curved screen. Unlike the first screen, which was parabolic, DYNA-CURVE is engineered with a horizontal curve; and combined with the revolutionary SilverStar, it makes for a curved screen that truly lives up to its name – DYNA(short for “Dynamic”): high-definition with a 6.0 gain, higher contrast, full viewing area, outstanding color reproduction; it has to be seen to be believed,” said Howard Sinkoff, Vutec’s president.

DYNA-CURVE features a multi-aspect masking system for use with all Widescreen 2.35:1/2:40:1 anamorphic lens projectors, masking to 16:9 and 4:3, while maintaining constant image height for movie, HDTV, and TV formats.

“This high-gain curved screen for the home theater offers an enhanced sense of viewer immersion, true high definition, outstanding color reproduction, higher contrast, and a full viewing area,” said Vutec’s vice president of sales Kevin Baisley.

Another product that will appear at CES is the ArtScreen R-Series, featuring a programmable remote-controlled robotic arm, allowing the user to preset the viewing angle of flat-panel display. It is available in standard display sizes for plasma and LCD televisions from 40 inches on up.

Vutec’s DecoFrame also will be on display at CES. Designed for fixed wall screens, this product was designed to transforms a flat-panel plasma or LCD into a stylish room accessory, providing the finishing touch to enhance any room décor. DecoFrame is available in nine standard sizes and finishes for plasma and LCDs from 32 to 60 inches.
