Westfall Joins NuVo Technologies

Hebron, KY — NuVo Technologies has tapped Chris Westfall as its new vice president of sales, USA. Westfall now leads and manages NuVo’s domestic sales efforts, including the pivotal rollout of NuVo’s upcoming Renovia multi-room audio system for the retrofit market.

“Chris is a terrific fit with our company culture,” said David Rodarte, NuVo’s president and chief operating officer, who expects Westfall to help NuVo double in size over the coming years. “He’s an inclusive leader, a collaborator, a strategic thinker and a man of integrity. Like all of us at NuVo, he is passionate about music; in fact, he is a pianist and singer who is trained in Fine Arts. Chris fully understands the custom installation channel and its distribution channels, as well as the importance of an integrated whole-home entertainment and automation experience.”

A strategic sales executive with proven talents and track records in team leadership, market development and revenue growth, Westfall comes to NuVo from control and automation technology manufacturer AMX, where he first served as director, business development, with a focus on developing business in the hospitality sector. From there, he defined AMX’s MDU/Residential Builder program. Ultimately, in 2007, Westfall was promoted to national director, residential sales, where he positioned AMX for future growth in the CEDIA market. Along the way, he honed skills for identifying problems and opportunities, building collaboration, and creating well-defined solutions that generated results.

Prior to AMX, Westfall served in executive and sales management positions with TIGI International, AT&T and Verizon, with a focus on data networking and internet solutions.

“I am tremendously excited to join NuVo as its momentum and position in its category and the CEDIA channel continues to build,” said Westfall. “My mission is to better enable NuVo’s dealers in the CEDIA channel to succeed; I am here to help them grow their businesses, and find new ways to be effective with the entire NuVo product line. I also plan to tell NuVo’s unique story and explain its significant value proposition to as many people as I can. In these unusually challenging times in the marketplace, I want to show our dealers that NuVo delivers fun and enjoyment, but most importantly, a great growth opportunity.”

Westfall will work closely with NuVo Marketing Director Trudi Luebberst to develop a strong communication plan and selling tools that will fully prepare NuVo dealers to go to market with the company’s upcoming Renovia multi-room audio system. The system, which uses a home’s electrical system to transmit music and metadata throughout multiple rooms, is aimed squarely at the retrofit market, a segment largely underserved by the multi-room audio category to date.

Westfall earned his BFA from Southern Methodist University, and his MBA from Texas Christian University. He will be based out of his home office in Dallas. Married with two girls aged 12 and five, Westfall’s business acumen is complemented by a rich history in the performing arts. In addition to his musical abilities, he has spent time as an actor, a professional stuntman, and a broadcaster. “I’ve always been around electronics,” said Westfall. “I’ve enjoyed making sound my whole life. Now I’m helping NuVo dealers distribute it.”
