Windy City Plans Big Things in 2007

In addition to adding new staff in all four of its offices, the cable manufacturer will settle into new digs in Illinois in the new year.

Bolingbrook, IL–Windy City Wire is currently planning to expand staff and training for their new headquarters here in January 2007.

The company, which noted substantial growth in staff and development, anticipates hiring five to 10 new sales professionals to be staffed at the headquarters for the New Year. The low-voltage wire and cable company currently recruits at Illinois State University and DePaul University, among others. Although the company is headquartered outside of Chicago, the staff expansion for 2007 is expected to take place at the other three locations as well: Tempe, Arizona; Secaucus, New Jersey; and Los Angeles, California.

January 2007 will bring many changes to Windy City Wire. The new facility will encompass 115,000 square feet. A 50-person training room will be used for new hires and customers for training purposes. The new training room will allow for in-depth training sessions on SmartWire and the SmartWire System Design Tool, among other topics. The facility and training room has the latest technology for training of new hires and customers. For instance, the headquarters has a SmartWire showcase area to demonstrate how SmartWire is labeled and used in conjunction with various devices.
