WiSA Appoints New President, Thomas Lee

The Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA) Association has named Thomas Lee president, replacing Jim Venable.

The Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA) Association has named Thomas Lee president. The AV industry group is dedicated to bringing reliable, high resolution, interoperable, wireless, surround sound audio products to the home theater market via standardization of WiSA-certified products.

Lee’s resume includes over 30 years of executive management, administration, communications and marketing experience in the technology market sector. He has held management roles at Intel Corporation, Cirrus Logic, as well as several technology start-up companies, providing products to the high volume consumer products market.

Lee is replacing Jim Venable, WiSA’s former president whose work resulted in 30 companies joining the Association to support the vision of bringing interoperable, high quality, wireless home theater audio products to the market. WiSA-compliant products are setting a new standard for wireless audio quality and ease of use.

“Promoting WiSA-compliant products and having the consumer and professional audio market adopt this high quality wireless technology is an exciting prospect,” said Lee. “My commitment is to bring together many key manufacturers to supply a wide-range of interoperable products at multiple price points across the wireless audio market.”
