Buena Park, CA — Yamaha Electronics has established a new centrally located warehouse in Elwood, Illinois, to expedite product shipments to Midwest and east coast dealers. The new facility, which is already shipping product, joins the companys existing Southern California warehouse operations to ensure that most U.S. dealers receive their orders via standard shipping faster than ever before — from one to four days, depending on dealer location. UPS Ground shipments are now one to three days for most of the dealer base, versus four to five previously.
With the Chicago-area warehouse, we significantly reduce the time it takes to deliver products to most of our dealers, said Art Serksnas, general manager, finance and administration, Yamaha Electronics Corporation. Shortening the distance products need to travel also guards against issues such as mechanical failure and weather conditions that often affect delivery times.
