Zigen has released its 4K UltraHD Modular Matrix Switches to complement the company’s line of HDMI 4K connectivity products.
The Zigen 2K/4K modular HDMI to HDBaseT matrix switch is field upgradable from 2×2 to 16×16. Available two port cards (two inputs and two outputs) include 70m and 100m HDBaseT along with HDMI to HDMI cards. Models ZIG-HX-88HDBT and ZIG-HX-1616HDBT are currently shipping.
The HX series offers advanced EDID management, IR functions, memory management, and internal power supply. Control system integration is available with Crestron, AMX, RTI, Control4, Bitwise, and URC drivers available to Zigen dealers.
“We just used the Zigen HX-88 HDBT at our ISF Level II certification session in Amsterdam after ISE last week,” said Joel Silver, president, Imaging Science Foundation. “Connections included both 4K and 1080P displays and 4K and 1080P sources via single CAT6a cables. We had 8 sources and 8 displays – including my laptop on an extender. We had no glitches over three days of constant source and display switching, EEDID and HDCP testing – no lock ups, no recycling of displays or sources, no powering down switches to re-sync. In previous classes we have lost valuable time with switches – name the HDMI issue and we have dealt with it – this session was refreshingly easy.”
