Roberto Gamba, Sales Director and International Business Developer for the McIntosh Group, joins Residential System’s contributing technical editor John Sciacca from Vicenza, Italy to discuss the company’s exciting plans for the upcoming CEDIA Expo in Dallas.
Roberto teases what dealers will see and hear from both McIntosh and Sonus faber where he says attendees will “experience a new global standard of luxury cinema that is both visually and sonically groundbreaking.”
McIntosh and Sonus faber have partnered with a who’s-who group of the top luxury manufacturers to deliver a system that Gamba says he hopes will “genuinely amaze the integration community.” The 11.12.6-channel Sonus faber speaker system will be powered by a massive 18-amplifier McIntosh system to deliver unlimited dynamics and headroom. The system will include Trinnov Audio, Kaleidescape, madVR Labs, and a 9,000 lumen Barco Njord CS laser projector firing on a 165-inch-wide Seymour Screen Excellence screen, all housed in a space designed by Officina Acustica.
While Sonus faber has offered its Palladio line of custom installation speakers, at CEDIA the company will be debuting its new line of Arena which represents “High Fidelity Custom Installation” audio. The Arena collection will premiere at CEDIA in three models, including the Arena 30, a 4-way LCR speaker, which Gamba compares to “the Aida [the company’s flagship line] for the CI space.”
The system will also showcase the new Arena S15, a modular balanced design. With a total of 12 Arena S15s, with eight in the front and four in the back, Gamba says the goal is to create a room that is not only loud, but that has great sound in every seat.
Expect the Arena line-up to feature the Italian craftsmanship, detail, and design elements for which Sonus faber is known.
You can meet Gamba along with the rest of the McIntosh Group team, and experience Arena and the partner demo at booth #26097 during the Expo.
